Like I say, I hate lose ends.
Anyway, pleased I could provide you guys with a touch of humour.
I like stuff tidied up.
I have no real idea of how "untidy" this is.
Anyway it has taken up a lot of mental energy I could have applied elsewhere.
oh well...onwards and forwards.

You sure gave a glimpse of your life, Russ. How did you guys manage to get stopped by the police in the first place?

4 more years!
Standard road block.
I could smell a hint of pot on the guys breathe.
And I guess the cop had a good nose.
Lots of folks smoke up here, as you know...
.........
I guess I have to understand what "being on the record" actually represents.
Neither of us were charged with anything.
This guy I gave the ride to...
I consider him an absolute prick for carrying it in my car without informing me.
I don't think I'll be sharing any more coffee with him.
Very fucking thoughtless and selfish.
Maybe I'll drop down to the cop shop tomorrow and see where I stand.
The cops were friendly.
At the end of this incident, he removed his gloves, shook my hand and said, nice meeting you.
Of course I know that is neither here nor there.......
---Update---
How so?
They had a DUI check in the middle of the week in the daytime? What kind of area is it?
Quiet community.
Police do their job.
I walk that same route everyday. Never seen them there before.
Sure jonny...
and then there's a more serious side.
I'd like to think that I'd be able to cross the border without this somehow popping up.
I'd like to know whether if a police car punches in my license number it won't mean an automatic pullover.
Practical stuff.
Loose ends.
Tell the RCMP you're a member of this forum and if they better expunge your record or they'll have a PR nightmare on their hands. Just tell them that.
