its an issue. saying its normal makes it a bigger issue.
racial discrimination used to be normal. it became an issue and now its accepted as being a negative thing.
its a sign of the kids are not learning 'proper values and respect' and its a social problem , rooted in the same place as racism.

I don't say it's normal...but I would blow it off...and have done so...simply because I know that 90% of the reason for a kid to do that is to elicit a reaction...not providing one seems the intelligent thing to do...

I've said it a hundred times...if you walk into a classroom looking for respect or demanding it...then you don't belong there...
If you're looking for respect it's only because you have none for yourself...if you respect yourself...then a child saying fuck you does not harm you personally and you're able to understand that childs motivation...
Conversely, if you walk into a classroom lacking in respect for yourself and are confronted with anyone saying fuck you...then you will take it personally and it will harm you in direct proportion to the amount of self respect that you lack...in that wounded state of mind you are more likely to over react and lash out in a negative manner...seeking recourse through some form of discipline which invariably disrupts the class robbing the balance of the students who didn't insult you and focusing all attention on the kid who only did it to illicit that exact response....
Thereby having allowed yourself to be outwitted by a 10 year old...

I didn't watch the whole video because it is distressing how fucking nasty kids are... one of my biggest regrets in life, which still bothers me today, is that I once joined in with my school 'friends' at shouting abuse to "cross roads chris". He was a guy in his early 40s who had been labelled as the town nut. It wasn't until years later, when I was a bit more empathetic, that I realized how much of a self fullfilling prophecy it was
