my internet is slow right now so im generally annoyed. a few questions/comments:

    1) why is your background image centered around central asia? thailand is 1000s of miles away

    2) theres no way you have a degree.

    3) didnt know people still used friggin' hotmail.

Yes, "give them bread and cirtics."

I'd love to read your blog. Well, love is a strong word. I'd give it a cursory glance if I thought I'd be able to read it.

You speak of wanting to help others. Maybe you could volunteer for some NGO work in border areas? There's no way an "elective dyslexic" should be considering teaching English.

NGO dont bring in the money, still need to keep it real! Alot of these volunteer things are scams and actually do more harm then good. (not saying all)

As for the teach comment, I dont fully agree with you. If someone told me back when I was at school, you could have an english teach who knows 100% correct english and all that jazz. OR someone who is not as good (not bad), but has an amazing personality, is wanting his students to do as good as they can, relaxed and fun loving, who can make the whole class laugh at the snap of a finger and looks like Brad Pitt. I would go with the 2nd one.

Most of my teachers were dis-a-plin-air-ree-ans, made me hate school and fear teachers. They are just as human as us, we should make the children love us, not fear us.

Don't judge ones abilities, simply by how they come across on the Internet

"Do more harm than good." To be honest, that's what we're worrying about, reading your posts.

Okay "Brad", that'll get you through the first half hour of your first day. What happens after that? A Bachelor of Education degree takes 4 years. Care to guess why?

Most of my teachers were dis-a-plin-air-ree-ans, made me hate school and fear teachers. They are just as human as us, we should make the children love us, not fear us.
You can't "make" anyone do anything. You can only give good quality lessons and examples. How are you planning to do that when you can't (or can't be bothered to) spell 'English teacher'?

Don't judge ones abilities, simply by how they come across on the Internet
"Don't judge this car by the way it drives- just buy it!"

I'm sure you're an outgoing, energetic guy, maybe kids would really get a kick out of you, but giving poor examples to children, and expecting payment for it, is not going to endear you to any employer and will ultimately cast a shadow over the professionalism of all other foreign teachers.

Oh, and welcome, by the way.

we shouldn't make assumptions based on me purely by my postings and the fact im to lazy to spell check. Do you teach or have teached in Thailand? when you go home, do you wear a t-shirt and shorts? what if your students or co-workers saw you wearing that, what would they think? You wear that too relax. I dont want to spell check every word, because when you read what I wrote, you get the message anyway. Have you ever been drunk on a night out and passed or been sick? what would your bosses or students think if they saw you.

Bottom line, lets stop judging people on this or that.

Can I teach a lesson today if asked. No I couldn't, but then again I would not be asking too teach or applying for jobs. Do I know I can be a great teacher if I put time and effort into it. You better god dam believe it.

    and thanks for the welcome

Isn't it a nuisance? Not to worry ... the Thai students will probably have better English than you. I'm sure they will help you out.

Good idea! Trying to print "Incoherent dyslexic unconsciously thinking scatter brained dreamer" onto the average sized label would be a challenge.

all good and true to a degree, but lets be honest, it would take many of us on this board TREMENDOUS EFFORT to come up with your consistency of spelling and grammatical errors.

however, you seem to already have a firm grasp of the TEFL industry. if your profile rings true you will no doubt find a job after no more than 2 weeks of searching.
