if i were 22 again and ready to choose some foreign land to call home, id seriously consider myanmar, romania, georgia, and turkey. myanmar would probably win out. gotta get out there in the next 6 months!!!!!!

cuz from talking to people whove been there (non teachers, tho) myanmar sounds like thailand used to be about 40 yrs ago. as an added benefit, i think the salary:cost of living ratio is far more favorable than thailands.Originally Posted by WilliamBlake

I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. I left Thailand to return to the UK to try the "rat race" for a bit. After about 10 months back in the UK I am itching to leave again. If it is money you are after, perhaps looking towards the middle east? Or returning to Bangkok? Or perhaps something completely different? Mongolia?
