In the past month or so it has twice been implied that I am a troll. Once by one of the most respected members of the forum and once by one of the least. with such a range people getting this image from my posts, the questions has come to me... are trolls really trolling?
I have always imagined that a troll is somebody who goes out of their way to disrupt things, often taking views they don't necessarily hold.
I don't think I do that...
so, maybe,... what if the posters we know to be trolls are actually just giving their world view and their opinion (a scary thought with regard to some assumed trolls).

Is it trolling to have a profound urge to lay into certain posters? There are a few posters' posts who I struggle to read without responding to, with the responses usually being a bit cuntish of me.

Huhu or Russ posted that? I must have missed it.
I got a PM asking if I thought Venus might be MR. I said no way, not even close. Huhu doesn't have the talent to do much more than post nasty smilies and copy/paste iPhone articles. Russ lost respect with his racism. I'm convinced amin does most of the trolling round here. After all if it's well designed it gets a lot of hits. They know what buttons to push.
At least I had some to lose.

Ah, you've got me there Bill. I have, indeed, had many a nic in my time. At school I was known as the caveman, due laziness with regards to grooming. In Thailand I am often known as "I uwan".
No, this is the only forum nic I have ever had, and the only forum I have ever really been on (I signed up to Thaivisa to ask a question once, but then got fed up with the rambling responses and never went back).
To be fair though, I get so many greens from cluezo that I sometimes feel I must be in some sort of rep building scheme. I think everyone gets that from cluezo though as he really does love his greens

We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.
