    03 for me.
    Frederick Douglass: Find out just what any people will quietly submit to
    and you have found out the exact measure of injustice
    and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these
    will continue till they are resisted with either
    words or blows, or with both.

    Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn;
    “Don’t believe them, don’t fear them, don’t ask
    anything of them.”

    Just past the last 7-11 before you reach the border, there's a tree with a Buddha face carved into it. Turn to your right and follow the middle path that leads toward the buffalo wallow. There, you will see a woman with a cart selling sliced pineapple and brown sugar. That's not me.

    I almost moved there at the beginning of this school year (Wat Gai ??? School - Rooster Emblem). I was mulling those figures around too. Not a bad spot.

    into my 4th or 5th year here... i don't remember. nearly 2 years down mid-South then 2ish years here in Bangkok.

    I've got a mortgage, a wife and a dog so I assume I'm here for a while. Not much of a traveller so I enjoy staying in one place..

    ...as far as US taxes are concerned, much, if not all, of it would be tax-free...

    which is great except for the steep incline in the Thai tax table.

    What are Thai taxes? I pay about 18% federal as a freelancer. I don't know my state tax burden yet, and I'm scared to find out.

    We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.

    Sold everything in canada and made it kinda permanent. Even on a shit day I don't regret it.

    Been here since September '09. Some of these folks have underwear with more time in Thailand than me.
