if it's regional it's Mancunian btw. 'twas a Manc i stole it from. does that mean you're now inadvertently attempting to condescend toward the very English whom you cherish? or worse, that you don't consider northerners truly English?

My preference is for what I think is called Estuary English.

That accent is definitely different than the Liverpool accent. And again different from the accent up in Durham Country.

But I do feel a great closeness to the British.

...all my Uncles and aunts were British.....that might explain it.

I am a British citizen, and do have a high respect for the monarchy.(together we stand and all that innit and eh).

for once, sirrah, you and i are actually on the same page. i try to treat each lame incarnation of the same old forum addict as a new person until they make it impossible to see them differently. and then, i'm usually in denial for a while. i remain absolutely convinced, for example, that i'm NOT zehner.
