This is the exact mentality that I object to. Their cause is good, the US war machine has deemed it thus, therefore (with faulty logic) they, and everything they stand for, are good. Again, yes, as human beings they are good folks (and their causes (most) are certainly good), but they fail their causes by their blatant prostitution - now, I do think that Blair made some bad decisions, his decisions killed a great deal of innocent people, but he is a conviction politician. Do I think these two clowns are conviction politicians? No, I don't. I think they would say anything to stay in the public eye. That, imho, is why these Hollywood celebrity types prostitute their cause at every opportunity. I ain't saying they don't believe, however, I am saying that the trappings of celebrity have taken over and they have become focused on that, which distracts from the cause. Tis all I am saying.
No-one, repeat no-one, is more slimy in the media stakes or has a bigger bleeding heart media profile than Blair.
I'm with THX. My respect for Tutu has just gone up several notches.
