I met my Thai gf in Canada last summer. She was my first Thai and first Asian for that matter. I thought she was the most beautiful thing ever. Last December I went with her to Bangkok, met her parents, friends.... she really makes an effort and shows me Bangkok like I have never seen it before. I really felt kinda special. Oh, yeah.... turns out she is some kind of hi-so which I never would have guessed by her lifestyle here in Canada, but in Bangers it was all bling bling. Anyway, I asked her why she wants to be with me since I am not rich and she keeps telling me that she doesn't like Thailand because everyone is judgmental and it's all appearance.... and as long as I "try" it's gonna be ok. So we take a plane back to Canada, but due to her quitting courses, her student visa gets canceled and she is back on the Airplane to Bangkok a week later. No, problem, we'll keep in touch (which we did) and we'll meet in Japan for my Birthday.
I meet her at the gate in Narita and right away she acts a bit distant. I am thinking it is probably due to flight exhaustion and eventually she gets back to normal. However, I notice a very selfish behavioral pattern, starting with me getting sick like a dog and her insisting we go around and take pictures so she can update her hi-so lifestyle on facebook. At this point she is really acting like a lunatic and I know Thailand has gotten into her. Like a pig, I sneak inside her iPhone and notice a chat with her friend asking about the boyfriend situation and she replying so-so. Since it is all half Thai half English I don't understand a lot being said, but I notice something like give him a last fuck and go. So all pissed off I ask her about this and she goes on about how she has issues and it's all her fault, yada, yada, yada.... I tell her no, you are just spoiled and lazy to which she replies, yea..? So what?
To make a long story short I ask her the next day if she is dumping me and she says that she prefers the work break up. Ok, then I find out how her parents are disappointed with a choice she made, how I don't have a "real" job (yet I can somehow afford long vacations in Thailand and just piss off to Japan), how I am always negative (she has a point there) etc.....
I literally just arrived from the airport as I write this and since I have no friends too, I decided to share this story with you, lucky members.

It's endemic. I found a new girl recently. She started texting I love u, etc, etc, almost straight away. A week later, after several requests for Blackberrys, iPhones, cash, and gold necklaces were politely turned down, she announces that she is no longer interested.
