^when i first started you did. that was a while ago tho.
about the cell phones , i got 10 year olds bringing their $1000 smart phones to class. They can't keep their hands off of them.
Makes for a whole dimension of discipline to deal with. To the kids they aren't even phones just a game box.

Save the tigers!
Put them in an enclosure at your school with a little basket strung up high in the center. Place confiscated phones in basket.
Tigers get well fed and you get to re sell the phones.
