Is the last poster going to turn out the lights?

This might end up in the bottom of the barrel...but it is a genuine plea...for months it has become a real chore trying to post on AJF...I thought it was just my computer...but I bought a new one...and it didn't get any better...it got so bad that about 6 months ago I just gave up...until the lure of some EPL banter on the Sports Forum got me back...I don't go to any other sites...and before only went to SZ sometimes...the main reason I joined AJF was to keep up with farang news when I was living in LOS...now that I am away...I still like to keep in touch with what is happening there...so if I give up on AJF that will probably be it...so is anybody else having these issues?...I haven't seen Louis or Phil posting here for quite a while...not that they have any obligation to...but is that perhaps an indication that AJF is in a downward spiral?...I really hope it isn't.

    I never experience any problems.

I did have posting problem when using Internet Exploder as the post would get stuck and I'd have to write everything again.

I regularly have the same problem as buddahas, but only when posting from home on the slower connection.

I don't have any problem with my other websites...and some are quite complex...but I don't use any other forums...so I don't know whether it is just a forum thing or not

That's a good point actually. I've not seen phil on here for an age, and louis hasn't been about so much either.

There was some talk a while ago about changing the domain name for the forum, so as to clear up any confusion that they are in partnership or linked in some way.

Didn't there always used to be a link to ajarn.com from this forum's front page? I can't find it there now.

Should an Administrator of a forum be an active poster?

I think a wise owner/creator of one should be ... as well as actively trying to improve the place in other areas. Maybe because Louis didn't actually make the place and just "acquired it" as a little earner ... he's content to sit back and let it run on autopilot ... with the unpaid help of a few mod mugs.

one would expect them to. It was their baby after all.

It's strange that what was an active forum to them, now sees nothing of either. (a bit like another forum I go to )
When I was young I kicked my sister.
my mum gave me such a smack, then asked "do you want another one"?
"Jeez" mum I said "I have enough trouble with one sister without you having another"

It doesn't matter whether they do or they don't IMO...but they have been such notable figures on the forum for so long I questioned whether their absence was a symptom...or maybe they are just taking a break like others do at times...I definitely hope so

i'm pretty similar but no new computer. i access this forum from two different machines (PC and Mac) and mainly from two different access points (work and home). the problems i experience between the four variables just seem to get exchanged for one another. i routinely get kicked off the registration page and more often than not, it tells me i've not logged in successfully when really i have. again, i thought it was just me until others started complaining about the same issues.

however, one thing remains a constant: louis' absence and his inability to reply to any of said concerns from others.

admin don't have to post on their own forum but they should reply to technical issues in a timely fashion. after all, it's the hits and and the return users who help them make any cash. i try not to slag off mods as i know they're a team without a leader. they do what they can and without much help from the man who has the most to lose...or...gain.

i only reply with short answers. Posts have a way of getting deleted or half deleted or completely 'disappeared'.
i don't have problems on other sites

What about he has delegated the job of administrator already but you don't know yet who took the place?
