what's the best way to wash glasses?

My glasses get dirty all the time, and I find the glass cleaning liquid tends to smear, especially if the glasses are very dirty.

Some websites suggest just washing several times, which works but is annoying. Of course, you can use something like Windex--but that will smear too.

Then there's the issue of scratching. If you use eyeglass cleaner and rub it in, it's possible to scratch some lenses.

So what do I do? I've decided that the best way to wash glasses, sunglasses, or any kind of eyewear is just plain soap and water. Here's how I do it:

    1. Run water from the tap.
    2. Lather soap in one hand and hold the glasses in the other.
    3. Using your bare fingers, rub the soap into both sides of the lenses.
    4. Rinse the soap off with the water from the running tap.
    5. Shake dry most of the water.
    6. Rub the glasses dry with a dry towel.

Much easier, cheaper, and less hassle than fussing with eyeglass cleaner, in my opinion.

How do you wash your glasses?

My dog needs a bath. I've heard if you use human shampoo dogs will have a reaction and drop dead. Any truth to this?

I expect human shampoo would strip a dog of its natural oils thereby leaving it susceptible to the cold and damp conditions.

There is dog shampoo which cleans the dog's hair but replaces the oils at the same time.

I know someone who recently gave her cat a bath in human shampoo and it nearly died. Poor thing wouldn't eat for three days it was so weak.

Chang: That's awful. Thanks for sharing. You seem to know a lot about animals. I also have some pet rats that live under my house. They look really crummy at times. Like they never do anything hygienic for themselves. Do you think if I put a large mirror down there they'd get a good look at themselves and learn they need to spic up a bit?

Here in Thailand we have a lot of turtles. If your turtle is properly waxed you may save it from all that pollution in the sea.

Not really. I grew up on an arable farm but I did have a dog. We had rats too and this is what I treated them with.

Is he that blind not to realise a thread like this is adding to what he is majorly criticised for? I think not. He knows exactly what he's doing and so do I: he's trolling, pure and simple.

Why is posting a thread about washing glasses trolling? Off topic, sure, but trolling?
