Some couples have separate finances and act separately in investment decisions. I don't know how long you've been married, but if you inherited the money you want to invest, or earned the money prior to your marriage, you should buy the condo in your own name, not your wife's. No one knows the future and if the condo is something you specifically want and will enjoy, with or without your wife, you should buy it in your own name.
