On Saturday October 6th I crashed a fun 10th birthday party for thaivisa forum. The party was held at Check Inn 99 on Sukhumvit (between soi 5 and soi 7). Numerous sponsors helped out with providing beer, food, the band and lots of promotional gifts.
Has AF held similar events in the past?

There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with toast.
One of them, however, is opening a can of corned beef with that stupid key. This cannot easily be done at the best of times, and toast is of surprisingly little use in resolving the issue.
Myself and Ricky Vaughan went to a thaivisa get together in 2004. I sneaked off unannounced.

There were suggestions of an Ajarn forum get-together around nine years ago but it never materialised.
If you and I met up at The Londoner one weekend there's a chance we would meet at least one other member so I guess we could call it a forum event.

Sorry but no pics. I circulated and spoke with a few members and a couple of sponsors. Check Inn 99 was basically closed for this private party. I paid 200 baht and that entitled me to three beers (Carlsberg, Beer Lao, ...), plenty of good food including a delicious roast beef, potato salad, pasta salad, spaghetti with meat sauce. Entertainment included three filipinas belting out 80's tunes, a cute girl in a leopard body suit posing with members, a card trick musician. There were a lot of promotional gifts. I won a Carlsberg polo shirt, an iPod cover and a one-month subscription to UK internet television (horrors!) which I gave to another member.
