3-year-old needs our help, urgently

Hi all, I am a South African Citizen living in Thailand. I am sure a few of you have heard the story of the South African who was killed here in Thailand, but I doubt many know what is actually happening now.
I am writing this post to try and gather as much support as possible for the 3 year old boy who's father was viciously killed here in Thailand by this little boy's Thai mother, her Thai brother and his Thai grandmother.
The little boy has now been reported missing, not even the police over here know where he is. What is beginning to unfold on this side is, the grandmother has now been released, even though she has admitted to being involved in the murder, the little boy has now also been put into her custody, which we all know is not correct.
The father, Mr. Ozwald Duvel, who was apparently a fairly well off guy has been fighting for custody of his son for some time now, he was lured to have a meeting with the mother and this is when he was killed.
A few of us here in Thailand are trying our utmost to try and get as much attention to this story as possible, to try and save this little boy from any danger he might face. We want to get him out of Thailand and to South Africa where he has loving family who wants him safe and out of danger.
Unfortunately this whole story seems to stem from greed that the Thai family wants to get their hands on any money that they can, even go to the extent of killing someone.
This little boy needs everyone's help to get him to South Africa as soon as possible. I have already sent mail to the South African immigration here in Thailand and many other people who has political ties here in Thailand to see if anyone can help.
If anyone from News24 reads this, I am asking for your help and support to get this to as many people as possible to see what support we can all gather to help this little boy.
If anyone can help with regards to anyone who has contacts in the media please let them get this issue in as much media as possible so that more people can be made aware of what is happening so that we as South Africans can help get this young boy out of Thailand and to South Africa.
Here's the first response:

No comments on this story? What? No fuel to ignite the self-righteous poo-flinging die-hard judges' desire to help along the "ignorant believer" or the "misguided atheist"?
Guess that when it comes down to actually raising a finger to actually do something that involves true compassion and willingness to help the urge to participate suddenly vanishes.
Terence, I apologize for using this thread as a stage for housing a giant mirror for people's crusades. I will forward your message to every person and place I can think that may somehow further the cause.
Good luck with your efforts on that side!

I really don't get why it's mentioned that the "Thai family wants to get their hands on any money that they can". This was about custody of the kid.
Another issue: they killed the guy because they wanted custody of the child. How is that endangering him? The writer makes the appeal for the boy's safety. Safety from what? A family that are capable of killing? In that case, any Thai family that's been involved in some kind of killing or attempted killing should have all their children taken away, right?
This is just the father's side of the family using anything to appeal for sympathy.
Anyway, I suppose for the sake of those who need help thinking for themselves I should be clear that I am not saying the family should be able to go off nice and easy into the sunset with the kid or whatever, I'm merely making an observation on how the OP was written.

south africans are nutters...or so ive found
If they are that motivated to get the boy to South Africa then they should pay the family or hire a bounty hunter.
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.
Who knows what the truth is in this morbid tale, all I know is that I want none of it. Yes, I do know of families so desperate to keep houses and get rich quick that they would consider killing, equally I know of whities who are deranged, arrogant and rude enough to kick any rock without seeing what is under it. Who really knows what went down here. There are always two sides to a story.
I wouldn't want to help either side in this nasty little battle unless I was directly associated with that side.
Welcome to Thailand, beware all those who are unaware...

If it is true that the boy's mother lured the father to his death at the hand of her brother in order to "resolve" a custody dispute, then I wouldn't think it a healthy idea to allow the mother custody of her son. Exactly what is the boy going to think of his mother and her family once he grows old enough to understand?
Imagine at, say, the age of eight, you discover Mummy killed Daddy, and what a terrifying life it would then be. If this was a financially motivated murder then what future does the poor boy have?
I hope the father's family manage to sort this all out and get the boy away from his mother's family.
Goo's sentiments are mine also. I wouldn't want to help either side in this nasty little battle unless I was directly associated with that side. I do know that if I were the deceased's immediate relative then I would want to get the child away from the mother's family for good..

Migrated
It's one side of the story.
We don't know that the grandmother, for example, doesn't dearly love the child.
Even though she seems implicated in the murder.
I would have to know the story in depth before responding with help.
The South African family may have a case.
...if they want the child so much, and if money is a real motive, why not just negotiate a price?
...even then, it would not necessarily be simple.
I'm not even that sure that the South African family is wise to attract the publicity?
And if this guy/girl speaking actually even has spoken with them?
...too much not known to comment (further)
