The school pond, garden and farm
I have just been watching for the last 20 minutes kids swimming in the school pond working on the hydrophonics farm they have in it. Two boys are swimming about and another is in a minature boat collecting the stuff they are pulling out (wish I had a camera).
The other side of the school we have a pond with fish in it. Small ones big ones and one huge bastard.
We have a Guava farm and a mushroom farm as well.
Is it normal to have ponds like this in schools?
I have no idea if other schools have these facilities or not for the students.

No, I was bumping up the thread as I felt that 'ponds' are an all too easily forgotton issue in the LoS.
Fortunately the good folks of Nong Kae Chang have a care, and their municipal pond is currently undergoing a multiimillion Baht rework. (see color photo below)

My school in the UK had a commercial farm within the grounds, but no pond (but my primary school did).

My kids school has all of those things. It really helps to learn. But the farm is more of a hampster and rabbit type of thing.
