I work with a bunch of BKK hotels and the HR office's at all of them are a nightmare.

Those folks work long hours and theres always a line of people filling out apps.

Right now they are full of Uni girls doing internships....

Interns, you gotta love em, no hang ups, and all they want to do is please...make a good impression etc.

If that's true (I think highly unlikely) then that must include serious tips.
Its the Peninsula, like I said I was also surprised. I checked out the service charge there and its pretty damn high. A lot higher than the ConLad, Nailert and some of the other 4 star, 5 star hotels.

Must be pretty high cos the highest service charge I heard of in BKK was about 13-15k a month for a 5 star foreign chain managed property.
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no Interior Minister of Thailand's son.

Would that be a typical Thai income for such people, do you think?
I ended up in two BKK hospitals - Siriraj and Bumrungrad. The doctors at Siriraj were great, but people I talked were waiting weeks for eye operations, and as for the queues to be seen as an outpatient...

Not being classist here, but wouldn't less-wealthy Thais go to government hospitals whilst the richer go private? If so, wouldn't the survey results be on the low side?

The point being Mac Don your girlfriend is being underpaid. I am chair of the English for Tourism and Hotel Management classes at my uni so I do know the going rate for wages.

There is a high labor turnover rate in BKK hotels, I suggest you encourage your girfriend to find a better postion.
I suggest almost everyone Thai in Thailand is being underpaid -even Yanks like you as Chair of the Whatever -you're a pompous bollix. What do you know about my girl's situation? Thank God for drink -it's the only thing that reconciles me to the fact I can't reach down my modem and throttle you.

Yes, that's right. Which is why I thought the income figures were interesting because I thought they might not be skewed by the rich ones. So these are figures for REAL working people.
If 6 of the 7 dwarves were not Happy, does that prove that dwarves are generally an unhappy lot?
