Good, glad to hear it. Now you can learn from your mistake by being more thorough in the future so hopefully it won't happen again.
I understand your feelings towards immigration officers, it's happened to me before, but it is our responsibility as passport-holders to check that the information that has been stamped in our passports is correct.

Re: Aranyaprathet?
Sure....... and it was the Immigration Officer's responsibility to stapled the card right over the stamp, making sure that I wouldn’t see it, as they will later on collect an amount of money which amount will ends up directly into her boss’s pocket…
Fixing the card on the other page requires a Phd! Correct?
The fact that they didn’t give me a receipt demonstrates the scam, and illustrates the practice!
When booking in a hotel you obviously check the building’s foundations to insure yourself that it will not collapse.
Look I am a tourist here and have noting better to do today; we can on and on…
OK sport?

There was no scam.
If you had looked at the stamp when you checked through immigration you would have noticed the date. If there was a problem it would have been corrected right there on the spot. If you had asked for a receipt at the immigration office they would have given you one.
To be sure Thailand is rife with corruption, but this isn't the case at all in your situation.

HAHAHAH my little Thai Hamster, "you got by back" Phil?
How could I have looked for a stamp that was hidden under a thick piece of paper and knocked by a staple?
Anyhow... I love it here, and would never have enough of Moo Manao!
Therefore I am staying, and in regards of c.o.r.r.u.p.t.i.o.n, it doesn't take long for a monkey like myself to learn how to dance...
Yo! Bangkok is my new cribe dog!

If it is your first time though, then it will probably be easier to go with a service like that.

I hired a taxi last year to make the trip. (3500 baht. he waited and pointed the way). Once across into no mans land, a Cambodian immigration officer asked if he could help. I gave him all may documents, the photos, the form (downloaded from internet). He came back in about 15 minutes with every think signed and stamped. Actually never even walded throught the line. I gave him a ten dollar "TIP" in addition to the $20 that the visa cost. Cross the street. Enter thailand again. All stamps etc. Left at 5am (to get there before the visa run busses and back in Bangkok around 4 pm. (probaby a bit more this year with gas higher.) So was about double the cost of the visa run. But I got to stop etc along the way.
Driver asked me if I wanted to gamble. If so he would wait. (Didn't)
