visa extention

im under 50 years old europian man... i will come and enter to thailand with " 6 months tourist visa" İ will get this tourist visa from the thai consolate which in europe but i would like to stay in thailand another six months and maybe more 1 year.. is it possible ? how often i can apply and extent my tourist visa? is there any limit of it? is there something change for a while?

SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT: "Just got back from Penang where i used an agent to apply for a tourist visa. Have TWO tourist visas issued earlier this year from singapore. Penang rejected me outright"
Thought Penang was a bit harsh rejecting me...... have been in Thailand for a total of six months this year. when i got my second tourist visa in singapore they remarked do not apply here again. Apparently Penang rejected me on the basis of that remark..

SO ..is there any limit to apply for tourist visa ? i mean , someday they can tell me, "no more tourist visa for you" you got enough" ! go back your country and come after 3 monhts again !! can they do me like that ?
or can i apply for tourist visa " X TİME " THANKS Leon

The closest you get to an anwswer on TaiVia is the "I know a chap who knows a chap who knows a chap who..." kind.

A double entry visa will get you effectively six months in the country but you must pay 1,900 baht for a further 30 days extention after 60 days. On 90 days you do a border run for yur second entry. After that you ectend the 60 days again for another 30.
There is no official limit to the number of tourist visas you can have, but in Vientiane once a couple of years ago, it was written in my passport "no more tourist visa from Thai Embassy Vientiane" on the third successive visa issued in Vientiane. As the passport was full with that visa, it didn't matter, and I had a new passport before the double entry three month visa expired.

One solution is to obtain a 12-month multiple entry Non-imm B, or O (easy enough) in your home country. You will only need to do a border run every 90 days, and not have to pay for expensive, short extensions.

Re: visa extention

Thank you all for answers my question .
as i said , im not 50 years old yet (but im retired somehow anyway , im 48 years old ) and thats why i cant apply for retirement visa to stay in thailand because i have to be 50 years old to apply for first..

so i need to wait more 2 years to apply for retirement visa, but this 2 years i want to spend my time in thailand ... not in europe , i also dont want make bussiness there .. just relax..

i guess the best way is to stay three with tourist visa "back to back" , i hope i can do it during 2 year..

p.s. what they ask for as document for Non-imm. B visa at all in emmbasy?

Re: visa extention

I'm not sure where you're from but in England you can get a 1 year non O visa (good for 15 months) with no paperwork, all you need is your passport.

Really we have given you about all we can here. Most of us teach. Have visas related to that.
FACTS: A business visa, a Non Imm Visa B, 12-month, can be obtained at most Thai consulates in most countries that do not share a common border with the kingdom. It is easy to obtain on the simple submission of an application form, a letter from any Thai company that could be either your supplier, customer, consultant, or any other business partner inviting you to visit them for meetings, and a copy of their company registration.
Single entry visa £45, multiple entry visa £100. last obtained Birmingham UK 02 June 2008.
There is ABSOLUTELY no need to obtain the services of a lawyer.
