Hey Ajarn people!
I leave Korea in about 3 weeks and I'm looking to get a 60 day tourist visa before I go. I would like to get this as I plan to spend some chilled time in BKK and then Phuket to see what jobs are available to myself and the gf (we both have degrees, TEFL, experience). I called the Embassy in Seoul and they said that basically all I needed was proof of a paid flight out of Thailand to get this visa (obviously around 50-60 days after entering). I DO NOT plan to return to Korea and so I don't want to waste cash on a ticket that I don't plan to use. What I plan to do is to buy a return ticket from Seoul to BKK, get the conformation of payment and e-ticket, and then cancel my flight (it's easy to do this with Korean/Jeju airlines) and get a refund. After this I will then book a much cheaper 1 way ticket with another airline. I will use the return ticket and payment confirmation that I have cancelled to get the Thai visa.
Can anyone offer any advice on my plan, or possibly think of a better one to get a 60 day visa without paying for a flight back out of Thailand?
Thanks!
i bought my tourist visa in nepal and they just wanted to see the flight itinerary. not the confirmed ticket. good luck.
Thanks, already in Thailand! Everything went perfectly...
