if you wish to spend your days in thailand eating noodles and issan food from street stalls please do so. we would love some dedicated reviews of your 30 baht feasts on here...
Who does that then? Not me - well occasionally, as there's nowt wrong with most street food. Don't make assumptions.
My g/f is a cracking cook, pays for most of the food we eat, and cooks it to perfection. She's never made a bad meal yet.
I just think it's daft to pay 1900 baht for what amounts to a salad and a pizza, and somewhat pretentious to then report on it as though it was something special.

Not at all. I just think good home-cooked food of any style is better value than a pizza and salad at pushing 2k. Or are you yet another pretentious restaurant review nazi?

Yes, I AM able to read, and did get what Z was saying. You really didn't have to waste your energy repeating the gist of his post and I really don't need to be patronised, especially by someone who has all the appearances of being yet another prima donna.

Why should she? I specialise in cooking the Western food. And personally, I prefer garlic with my lamb. Which should, of course, be a nice pink in the middle with just a soupcon of redness in the juices.
But then again I live in Thailand and so eat mainly Thai food. I don't feel the need to carry on eating Western food in an Eastern country. Or are you one of those who thinks that all Thai food is muck and carries on eating like they did back home?
