How to ..... post an image here!

Pretty sure this has been done before, but people keep asking and I was bored and wanted to try out my screen-grabbing software.

How about a sticky!!!

The first thing to do is open an account at http://photobucket.com/

To post an image from your computer's HD

Step 1:

Log in to photobucket and click browse in the upload section:

Step 2:

Locate and select your photo, then click open:

Followed by "upload":

Step 3:

Find your pic on your photobucket album page, edit it if you wish (name, size etc.) and then copy the [IMG] tags:

Finally:

Paste the [IMG] tags containing the URL in the post box on ajarn forum:

To post an image from the internet

Step 1:

Find an image on the internet, google images is good!

Step 2:

Go to the image (click to enlarge!) and right-click and display the image properties. Copy the image's URL:

Step 3:

In your photobucket album page, click to upload URL:

Step 4:

Paste your image's URL into the box that appears:

Step 5:

Click to upload the image:

Step 6:

Find your pic on your photobucket album page, edit it if you wish (name, size etc.) and then copy the [IMG] tags:

Finally:

Paste the [IMG] tags containing the URL in the post box on ajarn forum:

Incidently, has anyone noticed that fantasic feature on Photobucket, that copies the url to the clipboard as soon as you click on it, instead of having to right click and copy....that's what I love about that site...attention to detail....

Actually, if you have the Flock browser with Photobucket or Flickr set up, you can just drag and drop pictures straight from the picture bar to the post window.
