The other thread was locked because of the judgemental and nasty posts on what was a thread of support for Grasshopper.

It was allowed to drift from argument to slanging match and back to argument for days .... then just closed on a whim for the very reason that could have justifiably locked it days earlier

It was suggested to Grasshopper to start a new thread about his homecoming. Because a bit of time elapsed between closing one and the opening of another is just stiff shit for the disapprovers.

At the risk of repeating myself is it now a rule that we are only allowed one thread open per topic? Do we now have threads closed 'in case members don't like the way a thread goes'?

i stated the reason for closing it. it had reached it's zenith at 800 posts and grassy was back posting.
