You can run mulitple homepages from any web server. If you are looking for an application that can host sub-portals you can look into setting up a dotnetnuke (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/) site where the payment gateways, memberships and roles, registration and authentication is pretty good right out of the box. Slap a template skin onto the website and you can pretty much hit the ground running. There loads of others out there too but this is the best one out there for free imo.

You need a VPS, virtual private server. They cost from $20 onwards with base systems starting out with 128mb/10g storage/100 to 400g of bandwith. 100 static one page websites can easily be hosted on a VPS.
I can suggest a couple of providers.
Spry.com has an unmetered bandwidth(1.5mbps), 256ram, 10 gigs of storage and a CPanel control panel all for $49.95 a month, but there is a 15% off offer and with a discount for paying quarterly, you end up paying less than $40 a month. They have cheaper webmin only options.
JaguarPC.com is pretty good VPS provider. They have a base package of 1mbps unmetered connection with 128mb of ram and 10 gigs of storage for $20 a month. No control panel so you will need to do a lot with the command line or install Webmin. For $40 a month, they give a 2mbps unmetered connection with 256 ram and 15 gigs of storage. You can add on a control panel for $7 a month.
A VPS gives you full root access to your system. Your VPS is an OS running under virtualization software so you are somewhat shielded from what is happening on the node and you have a set slice of the resources of the system.
Depending on the traffic you are pushing for your pages, you can easily host the domains on a VPS. 100 domains on a $40 a month VPS means you are hosting them for 40 cents a month.

thanx for the help, ive checked out ixhosting and if i rememeber correctly they have a limit of around 5 domain names,guess i need to check around more.
are you guys sure there is no limit to the number of 'domain names per server' and not webpages? (maybe i shouldve said -domain name- and not homepage)
the spry.com website says i can host up to 5 domain names....i need a place where i can host 100 + domain names (one page per domain)...traffic will be low.

You shouldn't be looking at website hosting, take a look at a VPS.
