ANy idea what banks offer safety deposit boxes?
Kreung Thai told me a story that I need to have a 3 month deposit account to get one which sounds bloody typically Thai to me.
Any idea of the cost as well?

I had one at Bangkok Bank. I dont recall it being that expensive, maybe 300 a year

To OP: does the safe deposit box have to be located in a bank ? I only ask 'cuz when I arrived in Bangkok in 1999/2000, I rented a box from a company who traded out of Charn Issara Tower on Rama IV Road, just around the corner from Robinsons on Silom. Opening times were agreeable and the fees cheap. Security access was just like that scene in the movie The Bourne Identity ! So cool. No idea if they're still located there but business was always brisk.
Just a thought. Maybe other posters can give more updated info ?

I've been to two TMB branches and 5 Siam Commercials, and a Standard Chartered, and all are full, none available.
Anybody know of a branch with boxes to let???
