» New Burger Place - Dairy Queen Grill and Chill
Jul 23, 2008 - 11:19 PM - by Gluestick
The Dairy Queen Grill and Chill has opened up recently at Siam Center. It's right across from Paragon. I had a chicken burger (flamethrower or something) and it was alright. The burgers are a lot better. They are nice and juicy. The patty melts are good as well. It's a change-up from the normal burger bun. The chilli cheese hotdog was better than any that I've had in Thailand for the price. All you can drink soda. Overall, it was great. It's a nice, new place to go eat at since the... [Read More]

» Searching apartment near Sukhumvit - next year - around 15.000
Jul 23, 2008 - 4:55 PM - by chrismast
Hi!

as shown in the topic I am looking for an apartment near Sukhumvit road (my office will be in Sukhumvit 101) between Asok and On Nut BTS Station or around 101.

Price: around 15.000 -20000 Baht
Duration: Feb. 2009 - Aug. 2009
Should have: 1 BR, Kitchen/Kitchenette, Internet (important!), furnished (not to old)
Nice to have: pool, gym, laundry

Anybody has offers or good apartment buildings and websites?

Thanks!

» Converting from PC to Mac
Jul 23, 2008 - 9:56 AM - by Monaro
Switching from a PC to a Mac ought to be easier, as a disillusioned Dan Kaufman discovers.
My hands are trembling, I've developed a nervous twitch above my left eye and I'm blaming it all on my iMac. Perhaps I should explain.
For the past 15 years I've been a PC user and for the past 15 years Mac users have treated me with contempt.
As someone who has tested and installed hundreds of computers across both platforms, I realise Macs have advantages: they are... [Read More]

» Chokchai Farm, ever been there?
Jul 22, 2008 - 10:19 PM - by OEG
Thinking of taking the family to Chokchai Farm and to try one of the talked about steaks.

Been looking on the website for Chokchai as I was thinking about staying overnight there but it's well expensive.
Anyone ever been there?
Is it any good?
Is there anyhere nearby where we could stay cheaper?

Meat n tater pie, chips, mushy peas, gravy, loads of salt n vinegar and two buttered slices of Warbies.

I don't think I can face another grain of bloody rice.

» Ayuttaya: Anyone Living, Working, Breeding There?
Jul 22, 2008 - 12:59 PM - by panhunger
It's become more than a big maybe. Ayuttaya could one day be my new home. I'm curious if anyone has lived there, survived the flooding, or otherwise had experience in this one time capital of Thailand. It looks a bit squalid around the river center. Haven't had much time to scout out the outer sections but I am planning to do some research, as well as taking another trip or two there.

An English program workshop seminar in Bangkok. Apparently to be held from the 4th to the 8th of August.
For out of towners there is accommodation for the full period.
There has just been a Thai version of it and now they are holding the foreign version of it.
I’m not 100% sure what the schedual is because I can’t get my hands on it at present but it mentions......

» Anyone know anything about Pai?
Jul 22, 2008 - 4:27 AM - by Thaiboxer08
Hey guys,
Have used the search engine but can't really find anything useful. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about Pai - It's got a Muay Thai camp with a great reputation and looks to be about as cheap as it gets. Was looking on some info on nightlife, scenary etc. Anything would be gratefully received

Thanks
Sam
