I believe that if you rename the subtitle file with exactly the same name as the movie file, and keep it in the same directory, VLC will automatically detect it.



Otherwise, untick the autodetect and use the browse button to locate the subtitle file with VLC and it will play it.

Thanks for digging that up, Ken, I once looked for a decent Thai site with subtitles and couldn't find anything.

There are no Thai subtitles on "international" sites, they have Romanian and Kazakz and Ephiopian but Thais are underrepresented, as usual.

I can't say straight away that this is what I was looking for, but with Prison Break it is promising already. No Lost season 3 or Traveler though.

Folks who burn pirate DVDs should put up their subtitles on the Internet as a service to a community, steal some - share some.

You need to play about with the text renderer and select a font that will properly display Thai. Let me get hold of some Thai subtitles and have a fiddle. i'll get back to you.

Have you got Thai font working in VLC? I thought it accepted only Latin. Maybe you'll have to convert your subtitles to idx + sub format or use a different player with DirectShow plugin or something.

Traveler got my Thai household glued to the TV, but some struggle with English subtitles only. Pity it was cancelled so early.
